Emmanuel is my chosen name - which means "God is with us". My given name is Peter Sigmund Sysko. I was born in Pittsburgh, PA USA in 1977. I am a Libra of the second decanate (October 13th) with a Leo Ascendant and a Moon in Scorpio. I am a musician, an energy worker, a designer and engineer. God has blessed me with many talents, all of which I use to the best of my ability.

For an educational and work history, view my resume. I grew up in a fortunate home; fortunate for a number of reasons. Firstly, my parents, John and Helen, really love each other and I was very nurtured with love and was shown a very positive example of family living. My older sister Laura was a remarkable asset to my childhood and adolescence, and still is to this day. As a family unit, we always ate good meals together and shared with each other a unique and mutually cherished family bond.

That is not to say I am without problems. Life is never perfect for everyone, and being as fortunate as I was, I began to desire a different life. I turned to unhealthy influences- drinking, drugs, parties - cool people (I never got the hang of being cool myself when I sought out this type of behavoir, so I envied and admired the cool ones). I played trumpet in the high school marching band for 4 years, and being amongst those considered "geeks" and "nerds" helped me assert my personal coolness by a certain relativity principle. What I have learned from all of this is that I am a very cool person, but only now that I finally love myself as I am, because I desire what I have, and do what I love. I did not turn cool until I became this way.

The underground drug scene inspired me. Altered States were 'where its at'; Timothy Leary, Terence McKenna, Jack Kerouac, Robert Anton Wilson, Hunter S. Thompson, Richard Alpert (aka Ram Dass), Carl G. Jung, Alexander Shulgin, Robert Pirsig and other brillant psychedelic personages were my mentors and teachers. I have come to know these men as some of the greatest philosphers and activists of the Western World, because they questioned and catalyzed change in our society in remarkable ways - of which I have always dreamed of doing. The most important step I took in life was when I decided to think for myself, as Dr. Leary encouraged me to do.

The future is a mystery. I have lots of goals, but now I strive for awesomeness. Intent != Manifestation, but one way or the other, we create ourselves. Profilic as I am, There is much to learn, a true master knows this. Who can possibly conceive the amount of change we are capable of? There seems to be place in the future where it makes no sense to imagine what it's going to be like, a singularity, if you will, where there is no way to see beyond, because the way we see ourselves at that point is much different and impossibly similar to what it is we are and how we see ourselves at this moment, right now. There is a lot to see, much to do, and the time to act is now.
